Reflection about using Smartboard Lesson (Prezi Presentation):
I supplemented the SmartBoard lesson for a Prezi presentation. Since I do not currently have a SmartBoard in my classroom this was a better fit for my students and I. I have seen a difference in the way my students receive information through the Prezi verse the traditional PowerPoint. When I would present a PowerPoint last year, there was the usual grown from my students, which I equated to the stagnant nature of PowerPoints. Prezis have the movement that many of our students need to pay attention. I really enjoy the feature of zoom so that we can look at specific parts of artwork. In addition, I was able to add an embed a video into the Prezi, which made the progression of the class run smoothly. The Prezi that I have included, “Graffiti Art,” was a great discussion Prezi. My students were very interested in the topic and it was a successful part of our lesson.
